Boks: Where to find the Spoor again

Like any die hard Springbok Rugby Fan in South Africa we are worried. Our Bokke doesn’t have the Spring in their step like usually.

Oh Badger thinks the forwards are all right, but the backline has ZERO imagination. Now Badger has to ask; What on Earth is going on? Is it the Coaches? The Game Plan? Or are we just plain daft!

We all know what our backline players can do! Jantjies, De Klerk and Mapoe excelled in the Super rugby season, we all know wha Damian De Allende, Jp Pietersen and Willie le Roux can do, Bryan Habana is a legend in his own right. The only backline player of the season so far was Morne Steyn and Ruan Combrinck. They both saved some games for us.

Here is a couple of idea to en-route from the disastorous path that lies ahead for our beloved Rugby

  • We need change in our Coaching structures. Everyone must be replaced except for Allistair and Proudfoot. We need more coaches like a Kicking Coach, an Attacking coach. Consultants must be called in on constant bases. Guys like Brendan Venter, Jake White, Peter de Villiers, John Smith, Johan Ackerman
  • The Southern Kings should saved from themselves. Close it or take iot over permanently
  • Develop a new style of play like the Lions
  • Keep Politics out of the Game
  • We need Professional Administrators
  • All Unions should be owned privately
  • Develop rugby in more schools
  • There are plenty of players we can use to fulfill requirments. Use them. Pick them.
  • Throw a bunch of new guys in the mix. Guys like Travis Ismael, Sergael Petersen, Jamba Ulengo, Frans Venter, Rohan Janse van Rensburg
  • Recall old Bok players. Frans Steyn is one of them.
  • Select a Captain and stick with it

Let’s hope things get better
